1.
Make base beads. They should be small round
beads. Depending on the effect you want to achieve, use neutral or accent
color. Using clay extruder, make long thin
round strings of clay. These strings will be your filigree surface, so choose
your colors carefully.
2.
Poke a hole in each bead using toothpick or thin
wire. Leaving a bead on the wire, cover it randomly with extruder strings.
3.
Bake beads while they are still on the wire in
the preheated oven. Follow manufacturer's directions for backing temperature. When beads are cooked, put them in the icy
water for several minutes. That will make them stronger. Lightly sand beads starting
with 1000 grid wet sand paper. Buff it. Apply thin gold patina to give a nice
delicate shimmer.
And that's all. String your new beads, mix it with other material,
enjoy!
